The Company
Our client, a main building contractor, is seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their team who deliver multi-million-pound schemes in some of the most sought-after parts of London. This exclusive project is a high-end residential development.
The successful candidate will be joining a company that has demonstrated excellent longevity in the industry and growth over the last 5 years. Our client specialises in super prime residential developments, galleries, and commercial projects, representing high-net-worth clients and creating some of the most luxurious spaces in the market.
Main Responsibilities as the Quantity Surveyor:
- Manage the quantity surveying responsibilities across selected projects, ensuring accurate cost control and commercial management.
- Provide cost referencing and monthly reports to senior management
- Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimise value and ensure budget adherence.
- Support procurement, contract administration, and risk management processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, especially related to heritage and listed building projects.
- Liaise regularly with clients and stakeholders to meet commercial and contractual requirements.
- Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related discipline is essential.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within refurbishment, heritage, and listed building projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and cost controls effectively.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated longevity and reliability in previous roles.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working mainly in an office environment with regular site visits across Central London.
