Overview
A reputable and expanding subcontractor delivering complex fit-out and joinery projects is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of major contracts. This is a key hire offering real responsibility and progression into senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial management for multiple projects from tender to completion.
- Oversee procurement, valuations, and monthly cost reporting.
- Negotiate and agree subcontractor accounts and variations.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and margin protection.
- Manage client relationships, providing commercial insight and advice.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the commercial team.
- Proven experience in a subcontractor or specialist trade contractor environment.
- Confident handling projects of £1m-£10m in value.
- Excellent negotiation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of contract law and commercial risk.
