Our client is a well-established and highly regarded fit-out main contractor delivering fast-track commercial interiors projects across London, typically ranging up to £10m in value. Due to continued growth and an upcoming departure within the commercial team, they are now looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS who enjoys working in a fast-paced fit-out environment and wants exposure to projects from procurement through to final account.
The Role
Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple commercial fit-out projects across Central London.
You will work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered profitably, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Procurement of subcontract packages
- Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts
- Producing CVRs, cost reports, and financial forecasts
- Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor quotations
- Supporting operational teams with commercial and contractual matters
- Managing valuations and client applications
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks/opportunities
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Previous experience working for a fit-out main contractor
- Strong commercial fit-out experience across CAT A / CAT B projects
- Proven experience managing projects or packages independently
- Good understanding of procurement and subcontract management
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Degree qualified or equivalent preferred
